Why Tips & Tricks Are BS

I had some thoughts to share with you about something that I see way too often…

People going around looking for the next tip to make them healthy,

Or the next trick to get them fit,

Or an Instagram video for the next Jiu Jitsu technique,

This is so common in the modern world, especially the health & fitness realm,

I even used to do this myself, years ago.

I’d try this diet, try that workout, try this technique,

Just taking shots in the dark

Until I realized they are just BS and almost NEVER work.

Why?

Because most people don’t need a quick band-aid, what they really need is SURGERY.

If you’re 20, 30, 50 lbs or more overweight,

If you’re losing your breathe just doing simple tasks,

If you’re waking up stiff as a board (or worse, injured) more days than not,

It’s like walking around with your arm cut off and you’re asking people for a BAND-AID.

When you get one and you start seeing one less blood drop per minute, you might think it’s working,

So you keep looking for more and more band-aids until the blood is only slowly dripping out of your arm,

And then you come to accept that as “fine”, and you just go on with your daily life… with a slow loss of blood.

When if you just got the surgery, you would stop the blood loss completely AND have your arm back!

Maybe that’s too vivid image… But does that make sense?

In other words, a white belt isn’t going to become a black belt by watching YouTube videos.

Here’s the best tip you’ll ever receive:

DON’T WASTE YEARS OF YOUR LIFE LOOKING FOR TIPS, TRICKS, AND BAND-AIDS.

I’ve been there, I’ve seen it all when it comes to health,

And I know true transformation doesn’t just come by accident.
